To strengthen our team we are looking to fill the following position at our Cork site:

Engineering Stores Operator

To support the Purchasing Manager in ensuring that the Engineering Stores activities are performed in an efficient and effective manner, to a high level of customer satisfaction and in compliance in line with defined policies and Good Manufacturing (cGMP) / Good Distribution Practices (GDP).

Main responsibilities:

  • To ensure the objectives of the area are achieved, whilst ensuring cGMP, GDP, HSE requirements, company policies and working procedures are followed;

  • To autonomously manage the engineering stores area so that all engineering spare parts are correctly inventoried and appropriate safety stocks present

  • Optimize layout of the two locations in order to maximize efficiency of dispense and ensure the area is kept clean and tidy

  • Goods Inwards - taking deliveries and booking onto SAP

  • Pre-kit Work Order parts requests as required

  • Submitting of monthly KPI reports, including inventory KPIs

  • Review Inventory for Obsolescence

  • Monitor parts quality and ensure suppliers are meeting specifications

  • Monitor vendor performance and provide feedback on preferred vendors to the procurement group.

  • To ensure good housekeeping of storage locations, including daily checking of storage locations in the consideration of any spillage or any potential risk;

  • To perform the physical inventory checking according to the required schedule or procedure and to highlight / investigate any variances;

  • To collaborate in the investigation and define corrective actions/preventive actions for Stores deviations and follow up the deviations in an effective manner;

  • To make proposals for implementation / update revision of procedures, ideas and suggestions concerning both technical and organizational aspects of the working area, including proposals to improve efficiency of department work;

  • To collaborate in both internal and external audits;

  • To ensure compliance with the training plan laid out for the role.

 

Profile:

  • 3 years’ experience working in a warehousing background

  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical/medical device/electronics industries desirable

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Pro-active, flexible approach

  • Ability to define and verify the characteristics of the various maintenance parts.

  • Ability to interface with manufacturing & procurement organizations

  • Previous experience of working within a Pharmaceutical environment;

  • Should have warehouse experience and experience of inventory management principles;

  • Preferred working knowledge of SAP-PM and/or other inventory management systems;

  • Accuracy & Efficiency;
