Hovione New Jersey is expanding and we are looking for strong professionals to join us and are currently recruiting for the following position.:


Project Manager


The Project Manager develops and delivers projects on time, on quality, quantity and on budget. The successful candidate is responsible for performing project management according to the principles defined by industry standard methodologies such as PMBOK by PMI ®.  The Project Manager contributes within the Project Management (PM) team to standardize and introduce economies of repetition in the execution of projects and to define and maintain the standards of process related to project management at Hovione


Main responsibilities:


  • Successfully deliver the project objectives through a structured approach inspired by PMI, following Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitor and Control and Close out, building and leading the project team.

  • Directs and manages project development from beginning to end. • Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals.

  • Negotiates with other department managers for the acquisition of adequate personnel from within the company (when required).

  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. • Plans and tracks schedules and project milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.

  • Communicate project expectations to the team by developing progress reports, proposals, requirement documentation and presentations.

  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas.

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.

  • Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

  • Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendation report identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.

  • Develop the tools and a standardized method for project execution and management.

  • Participate in the assessment and planning of potential projects. 




  • At least 2 years of experience within project teams or Project Management training and 1 year of experience assuming a Project Management role.

  • Analytical skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.

  • Good communication skills. Written and oral English (Advanced English level is a must).

  • Critical and creative personality.

  • Self-confidence, independence and organization.

  • Strong leadership.

  • • Good team spirit.




  • A minimum of a University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent degree in a scientific area.
